Six candidates are running unopposed, and none of these races have more than two candidates, but voting accurately in the primary is still important.
Assessor-John Rosenau– No one likes the Assessor when property taxes are due. Everyone loves him when they go to sell their house if he values it high. He’s a solid conservative, which lends to his integrity in this position.
Prosecutor- Shawn Sant– No evidence of felons being released like they are in Portland or Seattle. I don’t believe George Soros has his hooks in Shawn Sant.
Auditor- Matt Beaton– He insists on using the Dominion voting machine in this county, and also insists it is secure. I’m suspicious, but apparently, no one else wants this job.
Clerk- Michael Killian– Not sure why this person has to be elected.
Coronor- Curtis McGary- A bit suspicious of McGary signing off on all the COVID “deaths” in this county.
Treasurer- Josie Koelzer- If you use a calculator and don’t steal, we will vote for you.
We covered Sheriff in a previous story. Safe to say that Jim Raymond is our first choice.
Commissioner
Clint Didier- Republican-INCUMBENT- Of all the elected officials in our area, Didier was arguably the most bold and correct. He refused to wear a mask at meetings. He stood up to local RINO Brad Peck. He called out the Health Department for celebrating homosexuality in June. He consistently questioned the pandemic and the restrictions, speaking out at rallies. He wrote a letter to decertify the 2020 election because of the voting machine. He’s outspoken against abortion and the destruction of 1st and 2nd Amendment rights.
Rick Miller- Republican- He’s been a county commissioner before and appears to be running because Clint Didier is “mean.”
Both will move on to the general election, which is likely why I’ve only seen one Didier sign. Not that it means a great deal, but I found it odd to see Miller signs on the same board at Raymond signs. Is there tension between Raymond and Didier?
District Court Judge
Evaluating a judge in an election is difficult. For whatever reason, they have to not say what party they favor. In any event, for a judge, I have two questions: are you a Christian, and will you follow the Constitution?
Trinity Orozco- I don’t see a single mention of the Constitution. It appears she wants to follow the law, which is good, assuming the law is just. Endorsements are not always the best, but in this case, she is endorsed by Clint Didier and Rocky Mullen, two conservative, Christian county Commissioners, as well as Sheriff Raymond. Its unclear of her faith, but she does send her children to Liberty Christian School (which isn’t an assurance of Christianity, but a step closer). https://www.trinityforjudge.com/
Carlos Villarreal- I don’t see a single mention of the Constitution. It appears he has the same credentials as Orozco, but without the endorsements. https://votecarlos4judge.com/
These two will both move on to the general election. Hopefully, there is more information as November approaches. Orozco is the solid choice here.
