US House of Representatives-Washington-District 4

This election has several good candidates. It is unfortunate our Constitution is not followed correctly because Article 1, Section 2, Paragraph 3 clearly states:

The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative;

If this were followed we would have 12,000 members of the House. Unmanageable? Who cares! The Founders wanted it that way. If this were followed, all of these good candidates could be in Congress, but have far less power than they currently wield. If the Constitution were followed, we would have 2 Federal Reps for Pasco, 2 for Kennewick, 1 for Richland, and one that represented Kennewick and Richland.

This wide field of good candidates is also a double edged sword. The Republican voters, generally being principled, will vote for who they believe shares their values and has good character. The Democrats vote for Democrats. Though two Republicans have faced off in the general election before, Doug White, the only Democrat, is likely to make it through to the general election. Here are the candidates with some commentary. The Watchmen recommendation is at the bottom.

Corey Gibson- Republican- Gibson has several quality ideas. He says he’s America First, and his platform agrees. His statement that parents are the primary stake holders in a children’s education gives him conservative credibility. He also wants to end CRT and eliminate the Dept. of Education. He mentions defending life, but only in a bullet point, where his website provided detail on other topics. Unfortunately, Gibson has chosen the homosexual lifestyle, which flies in the face of Christianity and is a deal breaker for the Bible-believing Christian voter. https://www.sendcorey2022.com/

Loren Culp– Republican- Culp has the best name recognition of all the candidates in this races besides Newhouse. There isn’t a flaw in his conservative credentials. As a Police Chief in Republic, he ignored the unjust, anti-2nd Amendment I-1639. He is clear on his website that life begins at conception. Based on his run for Governor and other interviews, its clear he understands inflation is created by the federal government. He wants a strong border and an end to foreign wars. He wants to follow the Constitution as written. He would be a bold conservative voice in Congress, likely caucusing with Margorie Taylor Greene, Loren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, and Paul Gosar. For whatever you think about Trump, he’s been endorsed by the President, which 95% of the time, is a plus for a candidate. My only criticism of Culp is his lack of discussion about his faith. I’m certain he is a believer, but doesn’t seem to mention it. https://culpforcongress.com/

Brad Klippert- Republican- He has a voting record as a member of the State House, which is staunchly conservative. He participated in Mike Lindel’s symposium on voter fraud. He routinely condemned the mask. He was out during the lockdowns supporting the oppressed businesses in town. He’s worked to end Inslee’s emergency powers. Most importantly, he has sponsored several bills to abolish abortion in Washington, which is far greater than just giving pro-life lipservice like so many Republicans do. That requires courage. He has it. He speaks with conviction. He’s a Bible believing Christian. I believe he will be in the mold of an MTG or Matt Gaetz, outspoken, and unashamed of the Gospel and the truth that goes with it. His name recognition is nowhere near Loren Culp, which may doom his campaign. https://www.klippertforcongress.net/

Jacek Kobiesa-Republican- This guy is intelligent. His understanding of Marxism/Socialism, and its evil affect on our country. He was born in Poland under Soviet rule. His positions on the issues are all solid. He’s anti-war, anti-CRT. He understands economics. Unfortunately, I have yet to see a Kobiesa yard sign in the Tri-Cities, which shows he doesn’t have the cash to compete. http://www.independent4congress.com/

Doug White– Democrat- Immediately, as a Democrat, no Christian should be voting for him. If you choose the party of unborn baby killing, open borders, the destruction of the family, racism, anti-Christianity, it doesn’t matter that you’re a farmer. Its pretty clear, based on his commercials, website, and yard signs, that he doesn’t want you to know he’s a Democrat. Make no mistake, he’s a Democrat. On his voter’s pamphlet statement, he mentions how DC has forgotten us. By contrast, the Republican candidates talk about how DC has destroyed us. Regardless, at best, White is looking to Washington DC to solve our problems. He is clearly pro-homosexual. He wants you to know he was an official at the “Gay Games.” He had a booth at the “Pride” event in Pasco. In one of his blogs, he touts that he is leading the polls and claims it is because “I build up rather than tear down.” However, a few lines later in the same blog, he trashes gun owners and homeschoolers. What he should realize is his “lead” has more to do with a split vote among the GOP. If he makes it to the election, he will lose 60-40 at least. https://www.dougwhite4congress.us/

Benny Garcia- Republican- He is a solid conservative. He is specific about his pro-life stance. He is specifically anti-vax, whereas the other candidates are silent, or take the “anti-mandate” lukewarm stance. The one knock on Garcia is his pro-DACA stance and his cites amnesty as a positive. Reagan was dead wrong about it. Garcia is as well. Amnesty is an invitation just like welfare and an open border. https://www.votebengarcia.com/

Jerrod Sessler- Republican- He’s not only a solid conservative but is outspoken about his faith. He is bold in his statements and touches all the bases. He was in DC protesting the election on January 6th . He takes a clear stance to keep the lower Snake River Dams and has statements about many issues. There isn’t any difference in the issues between Sessler, Klippert, Culp, or Kobiesa. There’s no doubt he would be a Congressman in the same mold as MTG, Bobert, Gaetz, or Gosar. He has been endorsed by Gen. Flynn, which carries weight. He is clearly all in on this campaign. No candidate has more signs. He might have more signs than all other candidates combined. https://www.jerrodforcongress.com/

Dan Newhouse– Republican-INCUMBENT- He checks many conservative boxes, but so do several other candidates. He has been a politician since 2003. His new ads show how polished he is. He is always looking off into the distance, in once case, with a break action shotgun over his shoulder. He tells us how he’s a “true conservative.” I’m unclear, as a “true conservative,” as to how he voted to impeach the most conservative President since Reagan over the alleged “insurrection.” There’s also no excuse for his looking the other way on the 2020 election fraud. I was at the Franklin County GOP Meeting when, after being directly invited by his own party’s group in his district’s third largest city, he cowardly sent a young intern. County Republican Parties called for his resignation. Additionally, he has freely voted for all the spending bills that are increasing inflation, including all the Ukraine “aid.” Either he’s a complete fool, or he’s in on it. In either case, he needs to go back to Sunnyside and stay there. https://www.dannewhouse.com/

The recommendation of the Watchmen is to vote for Brad Klippert. Like Tiffany Smiley, I am concerned for the toilet they are walking into in DC and don’t want to see their lives ruined by temptation and blackmail. I will also say that I wish Klippert were the Benton County Sheriff or on the Kennewick City Council fighting against planned parenthood. In any event, he is the candidate that fits the values of a Bible-believing Christian and has legislative experience. With that said, I will gladly vote for Sessler, or Culp, or Kobeisa, or Garcia should they make the general election. I sincerely hope they all run for local office if they don’t win this election.
