Saturday afternoon on Columbia Center Boulevard, 35-40 people lined the street near Canal Drive, protesting the vaccine mandates, mask mandates, and advocating for informed choice concerning the covid injection. Multiple American flags flew, and every participant held a sign denouncing vaccines in general or specifically condemning the covid injection in an event sponsored by Informed Choice Tri-Cities (ICTC).
“We are out here to inform the public and open their minds and make them aware that there are other opinions besides the main stream media,” explained Jan Smith, organizer of the event, and one of the founders of ICTC. “We need to get loud and fight for our freedom because now they are going after our kids.” Smith was referring to recent mandates in California to force the covid injection on school children, and the impending approval of the covid injection for kids under 12. ICTC has been all over the Tri-Cities for the last two years, holding signs and informing local citizens of the dangers of vaccines, even before the covid injection was available. Their numbers have ranged from 8 or 9 people to over a hundred on a few occasions in early September.
Signs stated that vaccine manufacturers are not liable for side effects of their vaccines, or listing some of the known side effects for all vaccines. One sign asked, “Is it murder to withhold effective treatments for covid?” Protesters reported some angry reactions which ranged from shaking heads to the middle finger, but the positive reactions far outweighed the negative. One protester handed out at least ten packets of information to cars showing the effects on the blood from the covid injection.
Protester Kat Espinda stated, “I’ve seen this coming for a while… I figured out that this is a hoax on the American people. Its obvious this is pushing us down the road of communism and unfortunately compliance is going to get us in deeper waters. We have to draw the line.”
Protesters were friendly and ignored the negativity coming from some of the cars.
No counter protests were visible.
