Nearly 50 people stood in front of planned parenthood in Kennewick on Friday afternoon, some for three hours, to stand for the lives of the unborn.

Two speakers addressed the crowd for the first 90 minutes, explaining what the Bible has to say about abortion. Coming from as far away as Hermiston and Yakima, many held signs, some showing the graphic horror of abortion. One sign explained that over 3600 unborn Benton County babies have lost their lives since 2009, though it is not public knowledge as to how many were killed in the Kennewick facility. That number is in addition to the more than 1300 unborn Franklin County babies who have lost their lives.

A few people going in or leaving planned parenthood brought arguments to the protesters, as the protesters pleaded to speak with the everyone, directing them to Hope Medical 100 yards away. One of the clients used aggressive speech, but the protesters did not change their message. Even when police were called after being accused of blocking traffic by the security guard, the Christians spoke politely with officer who was also extremely polite in explaining the law.

Protesters will be at the Kennewick planned parenthood as early as Monday at 8am, and randomly appear at the Kennewick and Pasco planned parenthood to speak with people entering the planned parenthood facilities about the dangers of abortion and to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The protesters encouraged others to join them or come out on their own to defend the unborn.
